Stevens Fast Start Downs Bearcats (65-52)

The men's basketball team lost 65-52 to the Ducks from the Stevens Institute of Technology on Tuesday night in Hoboken, New Jersey.

The Ducks started the contest quickly jumping out to a 17-4 lead in the first five minutes and grew that lead to as much as 19 (32-13) with 7:25 left in the first half.

The visiting Bearcats never lost their composure and battled back to cut the deficit to seven points (37-30) at halftime.

The Ducks in the second half went on a game-busting 14-2 run to go from leading 44-36 to 58-38 with 8:55 left.

The Bearcats later managed to cut the deficit back down to 11 (60-49), but Stevens held on for the annual pre-Thanksgiving meeting between the two schools, with this year's contest being played in Hoboken.

Devin Nicholson was the top Bearcat scorer with 13 points, while Akil Vaughnn came off the bench to record a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Stephen Braunstein led the Ducks from the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) with 18 points.
