Men's Basketball Falls to Farmingdale State (83-67)

The men's basketball team lost 83-67 to the Rams of Farmingdale State College in a non-conference home game on Tuesday night in the ARC Arena.

The visiting Rams from the Skyline Conference broke open an early tie (8-8) by scoring 15 straight points to build a 23-8 lead midway through the first half.

The Bearcats battled back to cut the score to 36-31 by scoring the final 10 points before the halftime whistle that ended with a layup by Gerard Nicholson in the final seconds.

The second half started with the Rams scoring the first six points to build up the lead again to double-digits, which they managed to mostly maintain the rest of the game to increase their record to 9-1 with the victory.

Emil Purisic led the way in the scoring column with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Jehmehl Fair had 13 and Mohamed Gueye 10.

The Rams had five players in double-figures and were led by Aaron Davis with 19 points (5-10 3fg).
