Hawks Down Bearcats in Women's Swimming

The women's swimming team lost a tough home CUNYAC meet to the Hawks of Hunter College on Friday night in the ARC Aquatic Center.

The Bearcats placed a first place swimmer in six of the first seven events but the visiting Hawks won the last four in first place and finished with enough swimmers in the top 5 of every event to total 119 points.

HIGHLIGHTS

*Kira Chen finished first in the 200 meter medley relay, the 200 meter freestyle, and 100 butterfly events.

*Sophia Kouchtaf won the marathon 800 meter freestyle.

*Kaetlyn Chavez won the 50 meter and 100 meter free style events.
