FULL RESULTS

The women's swimming team was the runner-up for the fourth straight season, finishing the meet with 170 points, at the 2023-24 CUNYAC Finals hosted by Lehman College in the Bronx, New York on Sunday afternoon.

The women have now finished an impressive first or second in each of the past 16 CUNYAC championships.

On Saturday, the Bearcats captured two gold medals on the day. They claimed gold in the very first event of the day (200 yard medley relay), as a team of Sophia Kou, Joyce Wong, Kira Chen and Kaetlyn Chavez posted a time of 1:55.34, edging out Hunter by .25 of a second.

Chen then claimed gold in the 100-yard butterfly, winning the race in 1:00.44, now the second-fastest performance in championship meet history.

On Sunday, Chen picked up a gold medal in the 200-yard butterfly, finishing in a time of 2:21.12, 15 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.

The Bearcats will next turn their attention to the Metropolitan Conference Championships, set for Feb. 16-18 at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J.
