STORY: Ezri Shor is named the 2024 CUNYAC Men's Volleyball Coach of the Year

Ezri Shor is in her first season as Head Coach of the Men's and Women's Volleyball Programs at Baruch College.

Shor was appointed in August 2023 as Head Coach of the the Women's Volleyball Team and was appointed as Head Coach of the the Men's Team in December 2023.

She coached the women's team to the 2023 CUNYAC semifinals and exceeded expectations as the Bearcats finished second in the regular season standings after being predicted by coaches to finish fourth.  

Shor served as an assistant coach of the Baruch men's and women's volleyball program during the 2022-23 year that culminated with the men's team winning the CUNYAC Championship and berth to the NCAA Tournament.

The native of Brooklyn is no stranger to CUNYAC volleyball as she played three years on the Brooklyn College women's volleyball team, which in 2021 won the Bulldogs' first CUNYAC title in 39 years. For her efforts, she was voted as MVP of that Championship Tournament.

She was also named a CUNYAC All-Star twice (2019, 2021) and was voted the CUNYAC Rookie of the Year in 2018 in an undergraduate career filled with accolades.

Shor's academic honors at Brooklyn College included being named a 2022 CUNYAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year Honorable Mention and September (2021) CUNYAC Hospital for Special Surgery Scholar-Athlete of the Month.

She graduated from Brooklyn College in June 2022 with a double major in Business Administration and Business Management, as well as a double minor in Business Law and Chemistry.

In addition to her undergraduate success, she was also a 2017 gold medalist at the 20th Maccabiah World Games in Israel with the Junior USA Volleyball Team.
