In her eighth season, Angeoline Piguave-Cowan has been fortunate to coach an amazing group of young women and men who have placed well in the CUNYAC Championships.

She was officially appointed as the Head Coach for the Women’s Cross Country Team on August 9, 2016. She was later appointed the Head Coach for Men's Cross Country on March 27, 2017.

Angie is no stranger to Baruch Athletics as she also currently serves as assistant coach for the men’s and women’s swimming teams since 2007. She has been a major part of the swimming program winning eight CUNYAC titles with the men and seven with the women.

Prior to coming to the United States, Piguave-Cowan swam competitively with the Ecuadorian Swim Team. She later spent five years as an assistant coach for the Flushing Flyers Club Swim Team, where she worked alongside current Baruch Swimming Head Coach Charles Lampasso.

She has been actively involved in swimming and running for a number of years, including competing in Ironman Brazil, Ironman Florida, and Ironman Maryland, as well as competing in “Masters Swimming” and short distance triathlons.

Angie graduated from Binghamton University with a degree in Anthropology and Spanish Literature, and has a Master’s Degree in Education from Queens College.

After college, while working for the Flushing YMCA, she traveled to Venezuela as an instructor/trainer to conduct high-level classes in aquatics and fitness.

In addition to her current coaching duties, Angie is also a professor for the Physical Education Department at Baruch College.
