Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Connecticut College Use Second Half Rally to Down Bearcats (63-53)

The men's basketball team lost to the Camels of Connecticut College, 63-53, in a non-conference contest on Saturday afternoon at Luce Field House in New London, Connecticut.

The game was a tale of two different halves.

The visiting Bearcats took control in the first half (14-for-23) shooting 61 percent en route to a 34-18 lead at halftime. The defense limited the Camels to only 30 percent (7-for-24) shooting, which included 1-of-11 from three.

The second half was all Camels as they overcame a 36-18 deficit by shooting 59 percent shooting (16-fo-27) and 6-of-14 from three. They managed to erase the Bearcats' lead in the first nine minutes en route to their seventh win of the regular season.

The Bearcats saw 12 different players score this afternoon in Connecticut but only Devin Nicholson reached double-figures with 13 points.

David Murray led the Camels from the NESCAC Conference with 16 points, 14 rebounds, and five blocks.

The Bearcats' tough out-of-conference schedule continues on Tuesday night at home (8:00 p.m.) when they welcome the Rams of Farmingdale State College (8-1) for a non-conference clash.
