Men's Basketball Stays on Winning Track, Defeat Medgar Evers

The men's basketball team scored 61 first-half points in the first 20 minutes en route to a 98-68 CUNYAC home victory against Medgar Evers College on Wednesday night.

The bench had a big night contributing 38 points as the Bearcats are now 11-1 in CUNYAC with two games remaining.

Devin Nicholson led the way with 22 points in 22 minutes shooting 9-of-13 from the field.

His brother Gerard had 12 points and Jehmehl Fair had 16 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in the team's 15th win of the season.

Sayeed Osorio was a big spark off the bench with 19 points (6-of-10) and Mohamed Gueye had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in 21 minutes,

For the third straight game, the team scored over 90 points finishing two points shy of 100. They also racked up 20 or more assists for the third straight game (tonight 26).

Nicholas Guillen led the visiting Cougars with 16 points.

Please note the next home game on Friday against York College will now start at the revised time of 8:00 p.m. The team will honor eight final-year players on Bearcats Appreciation Night.
