FULL RESULTS

The men's and women's swim teams finished 2^nd overall and 5^th overall respectively, taking home 14 gold, five silver and two bronze with everyone qualifying for finals at the 2024 Metropolitan Conference Championships held at Rutgers University this past weekend.

Seven school records and & six CUNY Conference records were also broken this weekend by the Bearcats. 

Women's Highlights

*Allyse Alexander finished 1^st in the 200 Yard Butterfly breaking the Freshman & School Record. She placed 4^th in the 100 Yard Freestyle and 4^th in the 100 Yard Butterfly.

*Kaetlyn Chavez placed 7^th in the 50 Yard Freestyle, 8^th in the 100 Yard Freestyle and 8^th in the 200 Yard Freestyle. 

*Kristen Zhou placed 21^st in the 100 Yard Freestyle and 23^rd in the 500 Yard Freestyle.

*Sophia Kouchtaf placed 6^th in the 1650 Yard Freestyle, 9^th in the 100 Yard Backstroke and 12^th in the 500 Yard Freestyle.

*Kira Chen took home gold in the 400 Yard Individual Medley. She placed 3^rd in the 200 Yard backstroke and 4^th in the 100 Yard Backstroke. 

*Tercia Dobrzynski placed 7^th in the 200 Yard Backstroke and 10^th in the 100 Yard Backstroke.

*Imani Gonzalez placed 18^th in the 200 Yard Backstroke and 24^th in the 100 Yard Backstroke. 

*Joyce Wong placed 5^th in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, 8^th in the 200 Yard Breaststroke and 11^th in the 200 Yard Individual Medley.

*Ethan Abramov  placed 4^th in the 100 Yard Backstroke, 2^nd in the 200 Yard Backstroke, 3^rd in the 100 Yard Butterfly, 

*Youssef Elkhouly swept gold in all three of his individual events. He finished 1^st in the 100 Yard Backstroke, 1^st in the 200 Yard Backstroke and 1^st in the 200 Yard Individual Medley.

*Ramiel Fayngersh placed 1^st in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, 1^st in the 100 Yard Butterfly and 2^nd in the 200 Yard Individual Medley.

*Peter Gavroff placed 3^rd in the 50 Yard Freestyle, 7^th in the 100 Yard Freestyle and 5^th in the​‌ 100 Yard Breaststroke. 

*Eric Goldshteyn placed 6^th in the 200 Yard Butterfly, 13^th in the 200 Yard Individual Medley and 6^th in the 400 Yard Individual Medley.

*Michael Guzman placed 1^st in the 200 Yard Butterfly, 6^th in the 100 Yard Butterfly, 8^th Yard 200 Yard Individual Medley. 

*Duncan Huie placed 10^th in the 200 Yard Breaststroke, 17^th in the 200 Yard Freestyle and 18^th in the 500 Yard Freestyle. 

*Jordan Lin placed 8^th in the 200 Yard Breaststroke, 11^th in the 100 Yard Breaststroke and 8^th in the 400 Yard Individual Medley.

*Bennett Maczka dominated his individual events breaking 3 School Record and 3 CUNY Conference Record in the 50 Yard Freestyle, the 100 Yard Freestyle (NCAA DIII B Cut) and the 200 Yard Freestyle (NCAA DIII B Cut). 

*Luca Shapiro placed 4^th in the 200 Yard Butterfly, 10^th in the 500 Yard Freestyle, 12^th in the 100 Yard Butterfly.

*Gregory Terentyev placed 2^nd in the 1650 Yard Freestyle, 4^th in the 500 Yard Freestyle and 7^th in the 200 Yard Freestyle. 

*Valentyn Titarenko placed 17^th in the 100 Yard Backstroke, 19^th in the 100 Yard Freestyle and 20^th in the 50 Yard Freestyle. 

*Leonardo Valdivia placed 5^th in the 1650 Yard Freestyle, 8^th in the 500 Yard Freestyle and 13^th in the 200 Yard Backstroke. 

*Daniel Vasilkoff placed 1^st in the 400 Yard Individual Medley, 2^nd in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, 2^nd in the 200 Yard Breaststroke. 

*Daniel Yadgarov placed 13^th in the 200 Yard Butterfly, 14^th in the 100 Yard Butterfly and 18^th in the 50 Yard Freestyle.
