Men's Volleyball Wins Tough Four-Set Match vs John Jay, Win Streak Reaches 12

The men's volleyball team defeated the Bloodhounds in four sets, 25-18, 27-29, 26-24, 25-19, in a CUNYAC home match on Thursday night in the ARC Arena.

With the result, the Bearcats stay undefeated in CUNYAC (10-0) and stretch their win streak to 12 in a row, their best since 2013.

Jack Centeno had a season-high 24 kills hitting .488 and added six digs. Peter Gavroff had nine kills and Haoxin Hu had eight kills in the attack tonight.

Ryan Oommen dished out a career-high 54 assists in the four-set home win.

The Bearcats totaled 62 kills (.302) compared to 42 (.207) by John Jay in a match that featured 34 ties and 14 lead changes.

Kyle Bariffe-Johnson was tops for John Jay with 19 kills (.359).
