Men's Volleyball Advances to 18th Straight CUNYAC Championship Match, Sweep Lehman (3-0)

The men's volleyball team recorded a 3-0 sweep (25-11, 25-19, 25-10) of the Lightning of Lehman College to advance to the CUNYAC championship match for the 18th straight season.

The Bearcats will play rival Hunter College for the CUNYAC title and NCAA automatic berth on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. here at Baruch College.

Tickets are free but fans must register in advance. First come, first serve.

The Bearcats tonight started strong hitting .444 in the first set and finished hitting .388 in the third for their 18th total win this season as they extend their win streak to 17 in a row.

Peter Gavroff had a big match tallying nine kills (.667), while Ryan Oommen dished out 25 assists and four aces.

Alain Abreu Esteva led the visiting Lightning with 8 kills.
