Men's Volleyball Defeats SUNY Purchase, Ryan Oommen Records 1,000th Career Assist

The men's volleyball team won their second straight match after sweeping the Panthers of SUNY Purchase 3-0 (25-9, 25-12, 25-14) in a non-conference contest on Tuesday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats hit a solid .489 for 31 total kills compared to the Panthers who hit a negative .271 with nine total kills. They started off the night strong in the first set with a .562 hitting percentage.

The team celebrated a milestone in the home win with Ryan Oommen recording his 1,000th career assist during the first set.

The Bearcats will next hit the road on Saturday to play Rutgers-Newark in Newark, New Jersey with first serve scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
