Men's Volleyball Wins 15th Straight Match

CUNYAC STANDINGS

The men's volleyball played their regular-season home finale on Tuesday night against the Cougars of Medgar Evers College.

The Bearcats posted scores of 25-4, 25-12, 25-21 to record their 15th straight win dating back to January. They also stay undefeated in CUNYAC (13-0) and will play their final regular season match on Thursday at Medgar Evers College.

The Bearcats will begin their participation in the CUNYAC Championship Tournament on Thursday, April 11, with a 6:00 p.m. home semifinal match against an opponent to be determined. The Bearcats earned a bye directly to the semifinal round after clinching first place in the CUNYAC regular season standings.

The CUNYAC will announce the entire championship schedule early next week. The Baruch College Athletic Department will host the men's championship match on Friday, April 12, at 6:30 p.m. in the ARC Arena.

Tonight, the Bearcats started strong winning the first set 25-4 after hitting a torrid .722.

The visiting Cougars did not make it easy the rest of the way, but the Bearcats won a tough third set 25-21 to improve their home record this season at home to 9-1.

Juancarlos Henriquez led the Bearcats this evening with nine kills hitting .385. Ryan Oommen dished out 22 assists.

Carlos Abreu led the Cougars with four kills and two digs.
