FULL RESULTS

The men's and women's cross country teams on Sunday morning competed at a wet and rainy CUNYAC Finals at Van Cortlandt Park.

The women finished in third place in the 6K race, which is their best finish since 2017. The men finished in fifth place in the 8K race.

Congratulations goes out to rookie Paz Moran on winning the individual 6K (26:48.4) in her first season! She is the fourth Bearcat to win the 6K after Wendy Gonzalez (2018), Maria (Gronau) Malave (2015), and Nailya Nuralina (2013). For her efforts, she was also named CUNYC MVP of the race.

Guadalupe Valle was the next best Bearcat in the 6K finishing in 19th place with a time of 33:16.8 for a Top 20 finish.

The men competed hard for a fifth place finish and were led by Jose Perez in 4th place with a time of 28:51.8.

Colin Asher also posted a Top 20 finish in 9th place with a time of 30:51.1.

POINTS SCORING SYSTEM: Please note in cross country team scoring that only the first five runners that finish for a team count towards the team's total points. Therefore, if a team places runners in 3, 9, 10, 12, and 23rd places, it totals 57 points when adding the top five finishes. The team with the lowest point total wins the race. If a team does not have five runners in the race, they do not count toward the team scoring.
