The baseball team lost 7-2 to the Devils of FDU Florham on Tuesday afternoon in Florham Park, New Jersey.
The visiting Bearcats fell behind early 6-0 after two innings but their bats came alive in the third inning.
Julian Diaz started the scoring with a solo homer to lead off the third.
Roy Longarzo then reached base on a double, went to third on a wild pitch, and came around to score when
Christopher Petrillo smacked a triple to help cut the score to 6-2.
The Devils scored another run in the fourth and the rest of the game stayed quiet with no runs for the final 7-2 result.
The Bearcats scored their two runs on seven hits in the tough loss.
The Devils scored seven runs on 13 hits and used eight different pitchers.
Longarzo, who was voted the CUNYAC Player of the Week, finished another good game batting 2-for-5 with a double and run scored. Petrillo batted 2-for-4.
Devils lead-off hitter Jake Hendershot had the hot at-bats going 4-for-5 with two runs scored and a triple. Â
The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday when they will begin their CUNYAC schedule with a 12:00 p.m. home doubleheader against John Jay College. The doubleheader will be played at Westchester Community College in Valhalla, New York.
